The GlowForge is a laser cutter that cuts and engraves a variety of materials (wood, acrylic, glass, metal, leather, and stone) from JPG, PNG, or SVG files. But please allow yourself plenty of time! A 5x7 photo can take 30-45 minutes to engrave.
Cost: Free to use. Please bring your own materials. Or, we have 8" x 8" x 1/8" pieces of plywood for $2.
Please Note: The GlowForge can cut SOME material (wood, leather, acrylic) that is less than 1/2 inch think. The GlowForge can engrave anything less than 2 inches thick. Material must be less than 12 x 18 inches to fit into the GlowForge.
The Hebron Glowforge has a pass-through option available which allows users to put a larger piece of material through the machine for engraving or cutting.The dimensions for the pass-through are no more than 1/4 inch thick and 20 inches wide. Length can be whatever you would like to attempt.
The pass-through does take more time to do than the usual project, so please plan for the possibility of having to use multiple visits to finish your project.
